Perilous Texting?!?!

I read a recent article from the New York Times about the dangers of texting. Texting itself is not dangerous, but it can make doing other activities deadly. Texting has caused many drivers and pedestrians to lose focus and get in many accidents. According to a survey in the article, almost 40% of the surveyed 16 to 30 say they text while driving. This can lead to a very perilous time on the road. Sadly, the recent crash of a Los Angeles commuter train was caused by texting. The engineer failed to stop at a red light because he was texting and did not see it. Luckily, these are the kind of perilous times that can easily be prevented.

Yeah I agree I think that it is really getting out of hand. It is necessary at times, but I think with driving you already got enough going on. I did find something interesting though. It may seem like nobody is concerned but in the state of Maryland, they passed a law not long ago title TWD, or the texting while driving ticket, and it has fairly significant consequences. but basically i think it is dangerous, and from now on just call the person.

It is completely ridiculous that people would think of texting and driving. There is probably some equivalency between texting at the wheel and dozing off. That train crash was horribly news... I bet it will prompt more legislation to control it.
